Come fairtime, the Shenandoah Valley Community Club members contribute their best produce, herbs, wine, etc. for display in the main exhibit hall. This fair's theme is,"Cake, Cattle, & Rock and Roll". Usually, Vicki Matulich (at Dobra Zemlja Winery) paints a very realistic mural, but this year she passed the booth duties to Mike Spinetta. |

That big Hereford cow there is sporting a Jerry Lee Lewis hairdo & whistling rock n’ roll. And, yes, it’s about to be abducted by aliens (a supernatural extension of the shake, rattle & roll fair theme). Thanks to: Mary Cowan’s cow "Dolly", Hein & Co. Bookstore for the records, and Marla Moreno for getting supplies! |

Eat your veggues! Robert Moody brushed in all the background elements (aliens, trees, etc.!) of the mural & built the cake/cow/guitar you see here -- and that’s Spackle for frosting, so don’t dip your finger in it. See more of Michael's art. |
