We are near dozens of boutique wineries. The winery is within 20 minutes of historical gold rush era villages like Plymouth, Fiddletown, River Pines, Drytown, Amador City, Volcano, Ione, Sutter Creek, Martell, and Jackson. Rancho Murieta, South Sacramento: Jackson Highway (16) off Folsom Blvd to Plymouth. Stockton, Lodi: 88 - left on 124 thru Ione to 16.
Everyone used to get lost in the Valley, but guess what? CalTrans, Public Works, and the Amador Vintners put up new Shenandoah Road signs. Hooray!
1. Print this page! Pack a picnic! When in Plymouth, you'll see a gas station on the left and El Dorado Savings Bank on the right.
2. Just a little after that right turn, you'll see the road "Y" - stay left, and watch for traffic coming downhill (Note the multiple sets of skidmarks.)
3. Turn left at the monument. Dillian, Renwood, Bella Grace, Shenandoah, Deaver and Amador Foothill precede us. Dobra and Driven follow us.
4. You'll pass by Karmere before your second chance to turn left on Steiner Road. SLOW DOWN if you are going to make this turn.
5. Returning from Fairplay, this is the "back entrance" to Steiner Road. Visit the wineries from this direction, and you're working against "flow" for a better experience.
Greenstone rock walls surround a black wrought iron gate at our entrance. You'll see our daffodils in spring and pink roses in summer. See you soon!
