Description: The vines on Spinetta Family Vineyards hilltops produce smooth wines with balanced acidity and intense richness. When poured, the bouquet breaks through, its medium body is lively, and rich cherry tastes are expressed through oak textures. Mike Dunne of the Sacramento Bee says, "... a refreshing acidity that cuts into muscle and fat of the beef with the authority of one of those big ol' Buck knives that steakhouses like to throw on the table..." Local trivia: There are two older plots of barbera in Amador County - Dick Cooper's and ours - and both were planted in the same year. Call to inquire about older vintages.
