__Jeff Runquist, a longtime friend and fellow winemaker, established an excellent reputation for his own wines during the past decade. Wine writers throughout America give his wines high marks, and our visitors enjoy sampling Jeff's wines during the annual barrel tasting. Jeff worked for Amador County's largest winemaker early on in his career, and he's establishing his own labels "R" and "Z". He stays focused by producing only small batches of top notch red wines. He works closely with his growers - he has a gentleman's "handshake agreement" with each of them, which even in this day is the bond that guarantees the greater good for both parties. The personal touch of Jeff's entrepreneurial spirit comes through in each glass of his jammy, hearty wines.
Jeff won BEST OF SHOW at the 2004 CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR for his 2002 Petite Sirah -- and BEST OF SHOW at the 2006 Amador County Fair for his 2004 Barbera. (And many other awards listed at the bottom...) Call us at (209) 245-3384 for orders and questions. |
