November, 2006 Chenin Blanc Wine Bottling Line

Wine, Corks, and Foils

The nitrogen cleans the bottles as they go around the big blue wheel. The first few bottles fill with "fun and yummy" wine! The corks are dropped into a chute (upper left), and then the foilers put the foils on delicately by hand. The spinner machine gets those foils on good and tight.

Labels, Boxes, Stickers and Stacking

You can see the computers staged around the labelling area. The labels are on large spools. Here are the first bottles coming down the line. The "boxers" do one last inspection of the bottles and push the boxes under the tape gun machine. Stickers are put on the boxes and that's it! Visit the tasting room to try the Chenin Blanc soon!
