FLOWERS BRIGHTEN STEINER ROAD
_____For over a decade the Spinetta Family has purchased daffodil and narcissus bulbs from its neighbor, Amador Flower Farm. Now, over 30,000 bulbs bloom between March and April every year on the ranch. A majority of these 30+ varieties are in view of the tasting room. On a sunny day, you can smell the aroma wafting through the air in the picnic grounds. Click here for a daffodil wallpaper. Full Bloom!
GROUP PROJECT
All seven of the wineries planted thousands of bulbs along the road, with the goal to have the entire road in bloom. The Steiner Road Wineries, of course, are Dobra Zemlja, Charles Spinetta Winery, Amador Foothill, Deaver Vineyards, Shenandoah Vineyards, Renwood, and Dillian Winery. When possible, Matthew and Sarah will sell flowers in the tasting room (like they did with their gourds.) Click here for another wallpaper.
EVERY YEAR, THERE ARE MORE!
Full Bloom! To the left you can see Victoria Harvey, Terri Harvey, Jenna Speed, and Michael Spinetta working on the last plot of bulbs (with the help of Leon Sobon, who took the picture.) Terri is the local 4H leader, and the caretaker and owner of the oldest vineyard in California, right here on Steiner Road. You can appreciate the efforts of the 4H group when you see the daffodils bloom every year on Steiner Road! Don't forget your picnic!
DON'T FORGET THE LILACS
In the old days in Jackson, we used to sell lilac blooms. We brought over rootings from those old time plants. Lilacs bloom in March and April. Red hot pokers and poppies and Shasta daisies bloom in summer.

The Spinetta Family is spreading poppy seed and other flowers along Shenandoah Road, throughout the Plymouth parks and River Pines. We're also working on the Plymouth Elementary School Gardens project (joint project with UCCE Master Gardeners, Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom Foundation, Plymouth-Foothills Rotary Club, and other groups) near the Amador County Fairgrounds.
