| THE BARBERA |
The Barbera vine is vigorous, and harder to train. We do not trellis, so we may not finish "sculpting" a barbera vine until its seventh year. Leaves form a canopy for each grape vine. We crown thin some canes out so the canopy is not too dense, allowing for good air flow and sunlight while discouraging mildew and rot. Characteristics of The fruit has tough protective skins and acidic flavors true to the finished wine.
