Winemakers want to use our wines to supplement their product - we are a "winemaker's winemaker." We seek out head-pruned, low-yield vineyards with quality grapes for our bulk program. Growers are paid well for grapes that meet our specifications. All grapes are hand picked into half ton bins, and each bin is inspected by a winery principal. Many of the grapes that we crush come from our own vineyards. Our vines all feature St. George (phyloxxera resistant) rootstock and top quality budwood. Vineyards of Amador County typically produce between two and four tons of winegrapes per acre. See our vineyard yields in the chart below.
