Joe Garcia _____Native Californian Joe Garcia lives in the forest near Julian, CA. In 1970, Joe earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an advertising / illustration emphasis from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He was an illustrator and graphic designer for 13 years, during which he honed his watercolor skills.
_____He portrays the subject in a tight, yet delicate center of interest, complemented by a loose, interpretive background. In recent years Joe’s direction has included more complicated, controlled compositions. He has expanded his choice of media to oil, painting on location and in the studio. Charles Spinetta met Joe while on a duck hunt with their mutual friend Don in the early 80's. Good food, good friends, and the wildlife art wine labels were conceived.
